Join us for another Live Music Workshop with So Samba Canberra & Movimento Alto as we prepare for the Canberra Multicultural Festival Parade on the 7th February 2026.
Movimento Alto is a collective of Musicians from a diverse range of backgrounds who have been brought together through their passion for Percussion and studies of the Afro-Brasilian Cultural Accents of music. Blending Batucada, Baião, Samba, Samba Reggae, Bossa Nova, Chorinho, Samba de coco, Barra-Vento and many more into a musical ceremony that will enrich the soul.
We'll be using this Workshop to prepare for the Parade and will be doing a mixture of Choreo and Freestyle while working on the Parade format.
Musicians will be led by Mestre Loki and the dance component by Nichola.
This workshop is an Open Level Class but basic level knowledge of the Samba Basic Dance Step is recommended
